I had the opportunity to sit down with one of the Las Vegas real estate leaders today. Jamie Cox runs the Capstone Realty Group and has done a phenomenal job over the years.
When talking to him about the market, it has come a long way since 2007 when he first moved out here. Right after he moved out here the market crashed and he spent the next 3 years doing nothing but short sales. Luckily the market is recovering and it’s back to business as usual.
Vegas is in a sellers market but not as hard as what we have in Dallas and Fort Worth. Homes above $400k are typically on the market for about 6 months according to Jamie. Homes in the $250k range are moving within a week.
