Home Selling Process – Step 5 Closing

Step5 Closing

We are almost there! We’ve scheduled closing and now there are just a few things to finish up.

You should’ve received an email with the closing time and location.

The appraisal should be back and squared away, repairs should be done or almost done and you should receive a Closing Disclosure a couple of days prior to closing.

The buyers will more than likely schedule a final walkthrough to ensure the house is in the same condition as when they offered on it and to inspect any repairs that may have been negotiated.

At closing you will need to bring with you a government issued photo ID and a blank check or bank account information if you want the funds wired.

If you do not have a leaseback in the contract allowing you to stay after closing you will need to be completely moved out of the home before signing the paperwork. Leave all extra keys, garage openers and paperwork on the kitchen counter. Your final key will be left at the title company for the buyers.

We are excited to help you get to the finish line!
